The Food
We have secured a bit a coup and have Jamie Oliver's friend and chef Tom Kime on board to do our wedding feast.
Tom's a Pom - and catered for Jamie's wedding - so I am guessing he knows his stuff.
We are planning on having a pretty long dining affair.
Starting with canapes, oysters and champagne in the garden post the wedding (meat, fish and vegetarian friendly).
And then moving to one long table for the main event. We will be having an antipasto starter served individually - along with plates of Italian style meats to share.
And for mains whole baked fish, and a hearty beef dish - again designed to share. Sides will be green veg, beautiful potatoes and an awesome smoked fish salad.
And dessert will also cover for a wedding cake - a posh cheesecake.
Simon and I love food - so we have gone all out to ensure this will be the best wedding food ever!
Pls advise if you are vegetarian or have any food allergies. jtimms@nine.com.au
As for drinks - red, white, champagne, pimms, beer and gin will all be available! In large quantities. x

The Venue

We are getting married on Saturday December 4 at 4pm and having the ceremony and reception at a beautiful homestead in the Royal National Park just south of Sydney. It's situated on Lady Wakehurst Drive - directions also on this blog. Please give yourself a maximum of 90 minutes to get there from central Sydney.
You can check out the venue at - http://www.lilyvale.com.au/
Directions
Directions to Lilyvale coming from Sydney
Make your way onto the Princes Highway as if going to Wollongong. Take the Waterfall turn off to the Royal National Park; follow the road to the left, over the railway line and into the park.
Continue along to the ranger’s station approx 1.6 kms. If required to stop explain you are visiting the house at Lot 1 Lady Wakehurst Drive and they will let you through. You will not have to pay entrance fee.
Follow the road down through the valley to the bridge over the Port Hacking River and to the “T” intersection. (Approx 3kms).
Turn right at the junction onto Lady Wakehurst Drive.
Follow the road along past the Red Cedar Flats picnic area for 5.8kms. When you approach a 45km bend sign, our driveway to Lilyvale is shortly after this on your right. If you miss it there is another entry about 50 metres further along. A sign with the number “ 1” will be by the entry to the driveway.
Alternate Route via Stanwell Park (might be easier and quicker)
Take the Stanwell Park and Helensburgh exit from the freeway onto Lawrance Hargrave Drive. Follow this along to Stanwell Tops and past Bald Head then into the Royal National Park. Follow the road through the park for approx 5 kms from the Otford lookout. The entrance to Lilyvale is located just on the left of three black and yellow arrow signs. A sign with the number “1” will be by the driveway. If you miss it there is another entry about 50 metres further along.
It's around an hour to 90 minutes drive south from Sydney.

Wedding registry/gifts
For those that love the ease of a wedding registry, I am sorry to say there isn't really one! So there are two options - well three if you don't intend on giving us anything!
1) Just go ahead and pick something you think we will love. Most of you know we love good food and wine. So a meal out or a good bottle of red to cellar would be fabulous. Or just surprise us.
2) Alternatively you can contribute to our honeymoon in Europe just a week or so after the wedding. This would be a huge help. You can contribute by accessing the following website http://www.weddingco.com.au/ and type in mine (Timms) or Simon's surname (Hall).
It's pretty simple - you just type in the amount into any of the four honeymoon gift suggestions - and away you go.
However we have also put in a few gifts such as glassware on this site too just in case you are really stuck.
Any issues/problems pls just call or email me or Simon.
